Fine/Performing Arts
In the Marcus Whitman Central School District, we believe that participation in the Fine & Performing Arts offers our students an outlet for self-expression that can ignite a lifelong passion for creative endeavors. Art, Music and Theatre education fosters creativity, and help students to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as teach self-discipline and the value of perseverance. Through the arts, our students develop the 21st Century Skills that will prepare them for success in any career path they choose to follow. Perhaps most important, studying the arts helps students to make connections between themselves, their innermost feelings, and the world around them.

CLUE: THE MUSICAL
-
Book by Peter DePietro, music by Galen Blum, Wayne Barker and Vinnie Martucci, and lyrics by Tom Chiodo: November 22-23, 2024 @ 7:30, November 24, 2024 @2pm. Clue: The Musical The internationally popular game is now a fun-filled musical that brings the world’s best-known suspects to life and invites the audience to help solve the mystery: who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room, and with what weapon. The audience receives forms to help them deduce the solution from clues given throughout the fun-filled evening. Three audience members choose from cards representing the potential murderers, weapons, and rooms; there are 216 possible solutions! Only one hard-nosed female detective is qualified to unravel the merry mayhem. Comic antics, witty lyrics, and a beguiling score carry the investigation from room to room. Even after the culprit confesses, a surprise twist delights the audience. This colorful crowd-pleaser was devised by the authors of Murder at Rutherford House and other popular interactive entertainments.
