Food Services

Food Service Manager – Carla Woolston
Greetings MWCSD Families,
Marcus Whitman CSD is pleased to once again provide free breakfast and lunch to all students during the 2026–2027 school year. Providing healthy, nutritious meals is one of the greatest joys of our Food and Nutrition Services team. Seeing so many smiling faces enjoying our meals reminds us of the important role good nutrition plays in student success. Nourishing both the mind and body helps students stay focused throughout the school day—after all, it’s hard to learn on an empty stomach!
We are also excited to continue partnering with our local farmers this school year. Offering locally sourced fruits, vegetables, and proteins to our students is something we are proud of. We strive to serve student favorites while keeping our menus healthy, balanced, and innovative.
Although breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost, families mayadd money to a student’s account for à la carte purchases. Funds can be added through MySchoolBucks.com, by sending a check made payable to the MWCSD Lunch Fund, or by sending cash. All snack items available for purchase meet the USDA Smart Snacks standards. You can view our monthly menus on the district's website.
We are currently looking to fill two positions within the Food and Nutrition Services Department. If you are interested in joining our team, please complete an application, which can be found on the Marcus Whitman CSD website.
I hope everyone enjoys the remainder of the summer. We look forward to welcoming all of our students back in September!
Sincerely,
Carla Woolston
Director of Food and Nutritional Services
