A message from the Food Service Director, Carla Woolston
I am very pleased to inform the community that for the 2025–26 school year, our district will again provide free breakfast and lunch for all students in every building. Last year was a record year for meal service: we served over 110,550 breakfasts and more than 138,880 lunches. This means about 62% of our students ate breakfast and 77% participated in the lunch program. Thank you to our dedicated food service staff for helping us reach this milestone.
We will also continue offering “breakfast after the bell” for students who arrive late. At our high school and middle school, we will again participate in the federally funded after-school snack program. This program is for students who stay for 10th period (2:20 to 3:00 p.m.) for academics, sports, or extracurricular activities.
Starting August 1, the MySchoolBucks program fee will increase to $3.50 (was $3.25 last school year ) for all cafeteria credit/debit card payments. The fee for electronic check (e-check) payments will stay the same, if e-checks are accepted. The maximum meal payment limit will also increase to $150 per transaction. This program is a convenient way for parents to add money to their students' accounts electronically. As an alternative, you may send in a check or cash to add money for any extra items your student might like.
We will continue our partnership with local farmers to bring fresh fruits and vegetables to our students, and we look forward to that ongoing collaboration.
Enjoy the rest of the summer, and we look forward to “feeding the future” in September!
Thank you for reading.
Carla
