Join us for a family-focused session based on information in New York State (NYS) law and regulations to learn about the role of the Parent Member on the CPSE/CSE and to develop the skills needed to work collaboratively with your school district in the role (participants are encouraged to attend all 3 session dates). This training will focus on:
1. Defining the role of the Parent Member
2. Understanding the laws and regulations that create the framework for special education in New York State as part of the CPSE/CSE Process
3. Introducing the Parent Member Toolkit that is filled with resources and information to help assist a Parent Member in fulfilling the role

Camp Onseyawa is a summer camp experience for students with disabilities (ages 8-16) that takes place for two weeks in August every year. We have several students in the high school who have attended. The camp is funded by the local Rotary clubs and is free for students and families.
