Pre-K and Kindergarten Information

Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK):

Marcus Whitman offers a half-day Pre-K program for all eligible students who will be 4 years old by December 1st of the enrollment year.  The program is taught by a certified teacher with one teacher aide per classroom and follows the regular District calendar. 

The program is currently offered in half day sessions, AM and PM, at Middlesex Valley Elementary school.  Transportation is provided by the district.  Skills emphasized in the Pre-K program include development in early literacy, math readiness, fine/large motor skills, social/emotional development and other age appropriate appropriate skills.

To begin the process, please complete Initial Contact Form Here This form will inform the district of your interest in the UPK program for your child. However, this will not officially register your child.

To officially register, all children must have a Registration Packet completed and turned in to the district with all required documentation. We prefer Registration Packets and documentation be turned in at the UPK/Kindergarten Registration Night held in March.

Kindergarten Program:

Marcus Whitman offers full day Kindergarten for all eligible students who will be 5 years old by December 1st of the enrollment year.  The program is taught by a certified teacher and follows the regular District calendar.

 

To officially register, all new students must have a Registration Packet completed and turned in to the district with all required documentation. If a child has already attended UPK in the district, it is not necessary to complete new paperwork. For students enrolling for the first time in the district, we prefer Registration Packets and documentation be turned in at the UPK/Kindergarten Registration Night held in March.
